Event Name: 1st Annual Women in STEM Frontiers in Research Expo at UConn

Join us at the first annual Women in STEM Frontiers in Research Expo (WiSFiRE -- pronounced “wise fire”) at UConn on January 31, 2020 at the Student Union Ballroom (Rm. 330-331).
WiSFiRE is a one-day conference event that will feature a series of technical talks by STEM female faculty from engineering and natural sciences disciplines at UConn, outlining their research & career journeys. The conference is free and open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Come to hear about the exciting research led by female faculty and how they have built their scientific careers. See how you can get involved in their research areas--whether it’s your first time seeking to do research as an undergraduate student, or if you are a graduate student nearing the end of your PhD looking for collaborations, inspiration or an opportunity to network with senior colleagues!
Speakers include: Baikun Li, Alix Deymier, Nefeli Bompoti, Jennifer Pascal, Alexandra Hain, Fei Miao, Jin Zhu, Jasna Jankovic, Guiling Wang, Lakshmi Nair, Sheida Nabavi, Kristin Morgan, and Helena Silva. Panelists also include: Kelly Burke, Maria Chrysochoou, Lesley Frame, and Yuanyuan Zhu.
