Fuel Cell Center Dons New Name, Mantle
The interdisciplinary Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center is undergoing an important metamorphosis. Founder, Engineers Without Borders
Dr. Bernard Amadei, president and founder of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), roused an audience of about 200 during his October 16 presentation at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Amadei -- a professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Colorado and a member of the National Academy of Engineering -- captivated a rapt audience for nearly 90 minutes, infusing his presentation with a combination of sobering facts, humor and anecdotes.

Water: Sustainable Production of our Most Critical Resource

Yasaman Ardeshirpour, a doctoral candidate in the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Department, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Society of Women Engineers at UConn. Transportation Forum

Transportation issues, from infrastructure and roadway materials to driver behavior, will be the subject of a half-day forum sponsored by the Connecticut Transportation Institute (CTI). The Thursday, November 5 program, which is open to the public, will kick off at 8 a.m. in the Rome Commons Ballroom at the Storrs campus.
