William D’Agostino


William D’Agostino is the Senior Vice President of Operations at InVivo Therapeutics, Cambridge, MA, and he joined InVivo in 2012. Previously, he was the Vice President of Engineering at Angiotech Pharmaceuticals which included running all product development and engineering activities across their international facilities. Mr. D’Agostino also worked for Covidien, which is now Medtronic, for 15 years where he gained extensive experience with the development, synthesis and clinical production of bioabsorbable polymers. He is a co-author of the book, Regulatory Strategies for Combination Products, published by PDA/DHI Publishing. Mr. D’Agostino is the co-inventor of eight US patents concerning medical devices, smart fiber-optic sensors, and aircraft antennas as well as numerous European patents. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds an MBA awarded with Highest Honors from the University of Dallas and a BS in both Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering from the University of Connecticut (1984). He is also an amateur radio astronomer and amateur radio operator as well as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for over 30 years.
