Dr.
Wang got his Ph.D. in 2004 and joined the
University of Connecticut as a faculty member in 2006.
His research interests focus
on
biomolecular nanoengineering. Simply speaking, biomolecules are used to
engineer nanostructures. The goal is
to understand the interaction between the engineered nanostructures and
targets, and to apply such an understanding for creating novel nanomedicines for therapy, nanomaterials
for
regenerative medicine, and nanoprobes for clinical testing.
