Welcome to my homepage!
I am currently a Ph.D. student of Mechanical Engineering
at
School of Engineering,
University
of Connecticut since January 2010. I am working as a
research assistant in
Computational Design Lab. under supervision of
Prof. H. Ilies, and as a teaching assistant in the
Department of Mechanical Engineering. I have received
my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at
University
of Tehran in September 2008. For more information about
my academic background, see
Education, Courses and
Projects on the left-side menu
or Academic tab on top of this
page.
My research interests are
Computer-Aided Design and Engineering CAD/CAE, Geometric
Modeling, Computer Graphics and Haptics. I am working on
Haptic simulations in particular, which is the practice of
integrating the sense of touch into virtual environments,
with applications in diverse fields of engineering including
Tele-operations, Computer-Aided Surgery and Dentistry,
Molecular Dynamics and Protein Docking. For more information
about my research activities, see
Research, Projects and
Publications on the
left-side menu or Academic tab
on top of this page.
