Welcome to Mustafa Akbulut's Web Site

A cup of tea

In this site, you will find information about who I am, what I am up to, what I think and what I think to be suitable to put up here..

I was born on a Thursday night, in the town of Civril of Denizli Province of Turkey. I have traveled and lived in many places within Turkey, changing three cities when I was in middle school only. Then, I ventured into the New World, rediscovering America, after my sophomore year in high school. I finished high school in Vernon, Connecticut at Rockville High School. Then, I moved to Atlanta for college. I have graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Computer Engineering and some research in nanoelectronics in three years. After a year of working experience in Atlanta area, my scientific calling dragged me back to a PhD program, this time in my quasi-hometown, Connecticut. Currently, I am a PhD student, a Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant. I am working with Prof. Ali Gokirmak in Nanoelectronics lab.

I am at the end of my first semester at UConn. I've been happy with what I am doing. It is good to learn something new. But it is even better to learn something with which you can do something to make a change.. And I think I am doing that.
