My name is Hien Nguyen and I am a Ph.D candidate in Computer Science
at the
University of Connecticut (UCONN). Prior to joining UCONN,
the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is the place I have called home for 3 years.
My advisor at UCONN: Professor
Eugene Santos Jr. I have been working at
IDIS lab since Fall 1999.
My advisor at UWM: Professor
Peter Haddawy. I had worked at
DSAIL lab from Fall 1996 to Spring 1999.
I am interested in user modeling for information retrieval.
Specifically, I would like to capture user search behaviors and use this information to help users improve their performance in an information seeking task.
