Work History [ 05/06-08/06 ] FGAN Wachtberg Visisting Researcher · Worked on Initialization from Incomplete Measurements in the group Sensor Networks and Data Fusion (SDF) [ 06/04-01/05 ] Institut für Nachrichtentechnik Karlsruhe Assistantship · Attended lab sessions to supervise students and help with given tasks, as teaching assistant for the Communication Systems Lab · Derived and implemented analytical models for dynamic spectrum allocation in a wireless LAN system [ 09/03-12/03 ] Philips Research Laboratories Aachen Internship · Developed a simulator for a wireless car-to-car scenario in OMNet++ · Implemented a complete MAC and PHY layer according to IEEE 802.11a, as well as a preliminary mobility management [ 05/02-09/03 ] Institut für Nachrichtentechnik Karlsruhe Assistantship · Participated in programming a wireless LAN simulation with OMNet++ · Held a two hour tutorial every other week for one semester, as teaching assistant for the lecture Probability Theory · Adapted OMNet++, an open-source event-driven simulation software, to include an additional graphical user interface from NS2 [ 02/01-04/01 ] Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG Heidelberg Internship · Worked with materials (drilling, sawing, turning, milling etc) · Observed assembling, mounting, testing and maintenance of devices and machinery related to electrical engineering
