Design Reports:

Reports should be postmarked by Wednesday, 23 March, and mailed to Prof. Ogden at CEE Dept., U-2037, Univ. of Connecticut, 261 Glenbrook Rd. Storrs, CT 06269. I will get them to the head judge, James Silva, of Silva Engineering.

Registration:

Our fundraising activities have raised over $1,400 towards the cost of the competition. Many thanks to the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers, the UConn School of Engineering, and several private donors.

The registration fee is $150.00 per team. Please mail checks sent to Prof. Ogden at the above address, made out to "UConn Concrete Canoe Club". Registration is due by April 1, 2005. This registration fee covers the cost of up to 8 team members plus one team advisor to attend the banquet. A limited number of additional banquet tickets will be made available for a cost of $10.00 each. See the RSVP section.

Lodging:

Lodging is available at a number of hotels in nearby towns. We have not made any reservations on your behalf. When you search for lodging using an on-line search such as "Expedia", you should search in the towns of (in increasing distance from campus): Willimantic (4 mi), Willington (6 mi), Tolland (8 mi), Vernon (13 mi), and Manchester (15 mi). The on-campus hotel, the Nathan Hale Inn, is booked that weekend. It might be worth calling them (860-427-7888) to see if there have been any cancellations.

RSVP:

I would appreciate receiving an e-mail back from each team that plans to compete so we can finalize our logistics. If you would like to have additional guests at the banquet, please include this request in your RSVP. We will honor requests as long as seats are available.
