The following is the webpage regarding ITE C27. I highly recommend you to work on your assignments on the machines in this lab.
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/ecs/linux/c27.html
The lab is closed on weekends. But you can access the machines using ssh (look at the webpage for more details). If you have problems with remote login, you may want to change your settings by going to the following website:
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/ecs/linux/using.html
and then click shell change utility page. To login remotely, you can use
Cygwin, putty, xmanager or whatever program which provides ssh (i.e., secure
shell, or secure login).
There are 9
linux machines in C27. Their hostnames are cselin2.engr.uconn.edu through
cselin10.engr.uconn.edu.
Also, a list of hosts (linremote1
through linremote6) are available for remote access only.
Please use the above machines instead of fester.
The list of remotely available SoE linux machines is actively viewable at
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/ecs/linux/machines_available.php
