Brief Bio: Dr. Aggelos Kiayias is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He is the head of the Crypto-DRM laboratory that is dedicated to the study of the cryptographic aspects of copyright technologies and digital rights management (DRM) systems. In 2006 he founded, together with A. Shvartsman, L. Michel and A. Russell, the UConn VoTeR center that evaluates the security of electronic voting equipment for the state of CT. Dr. Kiayias has been the recipient of an NSF Career award, a Fulbright fellowship and of an O-1 visa of exceptional ability in the area of cryptography. His research has been funded by a number of agencies including, NSF, DoD, DHS and NIST.
