Buses for Rafina, leave from the Mavromateon Square (the Field of Mars (pedio tou Areos)), where the Attici Bus Station is located, tel. no. +30 1 8210872. Buses from Athens to Rafina leave every half an hour, starting at 5:45 and ending at 22:15. The best way to reach the bus station from the airport is by taxi. The trip from Athens to Rafina takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Buses to Athens from Rafina leave every half an hour, starting at 5:30 and ending at 22:30.
There are usually four ferry boats daily and sailing to Andros takes about 2 hours. Ships land on the west side of the island at the port of Gavrion. There is not yet available any official ferry schedule for the end of September. According to information provided by the Port of Rafina, that season ferries are assumed to leave Rafina destined to Gavrio, daily, at about 7:00, 8:00, 15:00 and 17:00. Ferries from Gavrio to Rafina are asssumed to leave Gavrio, daily, at about 9:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 17:00 and 20:00.
