Associated Center

The Connecticut Transportation Institute (CTI) is a premier center for transportation education and research in the Northeast. CTI's mission is to serve the people, governments, businesses and industries of the State of Connecticut and the nation in education, research and service related to the safe and efficient transportation of people and goods. CTI was established at UConn in 1974 and draws expertise largely from the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department in seeking to understand and solve transportation-related challenges and problems. Housed within the CTI are Connecticut's Transportation Technology Transfer Program, Connecticut Advanced Paving Laboratory (CAPLab) and the ConnDOT - UConn Cooperative Research Program (JHRAC).
