Fall 2006 Open House
On
Sunday, September 17, 2006, the University held its annual fall Open
House for students and their parents who are interested in learning
more about UConn's academic programs. During the day-long
event, visitors had the opportunity to visit academic programs of
interest, tour residence halls and visit campus hot spots, including
the famed Dairy Barn. The School of Engineering
hosted more than 600 prospective students and accompanying parents from
throughout the region. Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education
Marty Wood presented an overview of the School and its acclaimed
educational programs, various enrichment opportunities, admission
requirements, average student profile and other facets. The
visitors also enjoyed departmental demonstrations and presentations by
engineering faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from the five
engineering departments and several programs. The overview presentation
may be viewed here
