Power electronics at Climate, Controls & Security
Abstract: UTC and CCS overview, power electronics team in Farmington and power electronics work that is done in Farmington. Practical and engineering work in the areas of power electronics and motor drives will be discussed.
Bio: Thomas Gietzold is the Fellow for power electronics and motors in the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Climate, Controls & Security (CCS). He is 22 years with UTC and worked 1 year with Infineon Technologies on IGBT modules for hybrid electrical vehicles. He received the Diplom Ingenieur from the Technical University Berlin Germany in 1990. Thomas claims that he worked 48 years in the electrical field.
