PLAN OF STUDY

A plan of study is a list of classes that the student will complete during the duration of graduate study.

  • MENG students complete a Plan of Study in collaboration with their graduate advisor.

  • Plans of Study shall consist largely of courses at the 300's level or above.

  • The Plan of Study must be submitted for approval by an advisory committee and approved by the Executive Committee of the Graduate Faculty Council.

  • MENG students must submit their approved Plan of Study to the Graduate Records Office, where it remains on file.

  • MENG students and their advisory committee should reevaluate their approved Plans of Study on a regular basis and modify it, following the established procedure, if appropriate.

  • Changes to Plans of Study that have already been approved by the Executive Committee, must be submitted to the Graduate Records Office on the official form bearing the signatures of the advisory committee and the student for approval by the Executive Committee.

  • Courses elected shall be consistent with the student's objectives and related to the field in which the degree will be taken.

  • Successful completion of all work indicated on the approved plan of study is a fundamental prerequisite to the conferral of the degree.
