Research Areas: Computational Fluid Mechanics and Reacting Flow Simulations
Dr. Zhuyin Ren joined the Mechanical Engineering Department as an Assistant Professor in 2011. Prior to that, he was a Fluid Specialist at ANSYS Fluent and a Mechanical Engineer at GE Global Research Center. He received his B.S. (2001) in Engineering Thermophysics from University of Science and Technology of China and Ph.D. (2006) in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, where he was a research associate from 2006 to 2007. His primary research interests include Turbulence and Combustion, Statistical Methods for Turbulent Reactive Flows, and Modeling and Simulation of Reactive Flows with Detailed Chemistry.
