FluidMechanicsandCombustion (5K) Fluid Mechanics and Combustion: Basic studies of turbulent flows and vortices, flows in micro channels and capillaries, flows in turbomachinery, experimental and computational studies of chemically reacting flows including diffusion and premixed flames, flame propagation, stability and extinction, non-intrusive optical and laser diagnostics of flows.

FuelCellScienceandTechnology (10K) Fuel Cell Science and Technology: multidisciplinary science to systems research on PEM, solid oxide and direct methanol fuel cells, applied research in fuel cell design, operation and fuel reforming.
