10 Faculty Approved for Tenure, Promotion

In April, Dean of Engineering Mun Y. Choi announced that the University of Connecticut Board of Trustees approved the tenure and promotion of 10 engineering faculty:

  • Amvrossios Bagtzoglou - promoted to full professor in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department
  • John Chandy - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department
  • Jun-Hong Cui - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Computer Science & Engineering Department
  • Swapna Gokhale - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Computer Science & Engineering Department
  • Ion Mandoiu - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Computer Science & Engineering Department
  • Laurent Michel - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Computer Science & Engineering Department
  • Jiong Tang - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Mechanical Engineering Department
  • Michael Renfro - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Mechanical Engineering Department
  • Guiling Wang - promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department
  • Quing Zhu - promoted to full professor in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department
