Professional Summary

Dr. Fan’s current research focuses on theoretical investigations of colloidal hydrodynamics and multiphase transport phenomena. Examples of these fluids are dispersions of nanoparticles, bubbles, proteins, lipid assemblies, and polymer mixtures, which have broad applications in manufacturing, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical, food, and life sciences. Understanding the fluid properties and flow behaviors of complex dispersions is critical especially for tuning the stability and fluidicity in storage, manufacture, delivery, and applications of these materials.
