Mark A. Boyer is a professor of political science. He holds a B.A. in political science from Wittenberg University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in from the University of Maryland. He co-directs the GlobalEd Project, which employs the ICONS simulation as an experimental international studies venue. The project focuses on the impact of gender, technology, and group dynamics on negotiation, conflict resolution, and learning outcomes. GlobalEd has created a network of nearly 50 middle and high schools across 14 states and integrates the research, teaching and outreach missions of contemporary academia. He was editor of ISA’s journal International Studies Perspectives from 2000-2004. He will be co-editor ofInternational Studies Review, also an ISA journal, starting in 2008.
