The NRCC was founded to help educate the public concerning the need to protect the natural resources of Connecticut.  To that end, we have outlined the following objectives.
  • Provide a forum for the understanding of the scientific, practical and educational aspects of natural resources, including water, air, forests, woodlands, soil, wetlands, and open space, and the plant and life thereon.
  • Develop an appreciation among our citizens for the conservation of natural resources.
  • Educate ourselves and the general public on the environmental problems facing the state.
  • Encourage communities, state and nation in constructive areas that affect our economy and environment.
  • Work with administrative agencies, our member, and other conservation groups toward a better environment for Connecticut.
  • Be receptive to the environmental views both of our members and the other citizens of our state.
