I am interested in the interaction of environmental reactions with the transport
equations and consider myself an environmental process analyst. I employ a broad range of naturally occurring tracers to quantify the transport processes, including U-/Th-series elements, noble gases, H- 3/He-3, CFCs, Cl-36 and work on timescales of minutes to millions of years. These tracer studies are then coupled to aqueous chemical measurements to quantify environmental processes at appropriate time and space scales including discontinuous/
episodic processes and modeling. My work is primarily in aqueous environments
and involves oceans, groundwater, rivers, oil fields and lakes.
