The goal of our research is to develop models to predict the fate of contaminants in natural and engineered systems. Specific interests include mechanisms of solidwater exchange, equilibrium and kinetic descriptors of organic and inorganic anthropogenic compounds, interactions of complex organic compounds with environmental aggregates, passive treatment of heavy metals and organic compounds in stormwater, contaminant removal in drinking water treatment.
