My research efforts are concentrated on development of technologies
for replacement of toxic organic solvents by supercritical fluids.
Specifically, I am working on using supercritical carbon dioxide
as a reaction medium in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis,
for synthesis of polymers
for biomedical applications, for deposition of a wide variety
of substrates on
surfaces and for synthesis of novel porous nanostructured composite
materials. I am also working on development and testing of catalysts
and adsorbents for fuel cell applications including reforming
of petroleum based fuels for hydrogen production, removal of organosulfur
from various fuels and electrocatalysis.
