Additional Announcement:
The lectures have not provided many example problems or exercises to help solidify concepts. Dani and I propose using a couple of lectures to work some problems and generate discussion of the forces that we have been introducing in lecture. We are out next week on spring break and Dani will be gone the week we return. The best time for this review and discussion will be the first week of March (5 and 7). We believe it will be most beneficial to have the students prepare examples of the forces and have been discussing and present them to the class. Besides, you are probably tired of listen to us so you can take the floor for a while. We need to have an example for each type of interface that we have covered: liquid-solid, liquid-vapor and solid-vapor. Between now and next lecture, please think about a topic you might present. We will take a few minutes at the end of Thursday's lecture to arrange topics.

Review and Class Discussion of Surface Processes
Students will present an example of a liquid-vapor, solid-liquid or solid-vapor interfacial process as a lead for class discussion and review. A topic should be cleared with one of the instructors by Tuesday, Feb. 19th. Discussion will take place March 5th and 7th.
