Connecting to School of Engineering Resources From Home

 
  • The primary purpose of the firewall is to keep the SoE isolated from sites outside of the SoE (see diagram). Because the firewall will not restrict any outgoing communication it will be transparent to the majority of users..
  • The prefered solution for the School of Engineering is to use the UITS Juniper VPN Client. The SoE firewall has been programmed to accept all traffic from the UITS VPN servers. This provides access to all of to SoE resources from anywhere in the world. The UITS VPN Client Now supports Vista 64 bit and Leopard operating systems.
