Over the past two weeks we have proceeded to move along on our project.  We have completed the Project Specifications while also establishing background on the project by extensive research.  We have researched SATA and MAC protocol while beginning to search for the specific MAC chip we will use in our design.  We have also created a preliminary webpage.  We will be placing the Project Statement, Project Specifications, and the weekly reports onto the website within the next couple days. 

Our goals for the next week are to post the necessary components on the web page, more research in order to create an informational PowerPoint for the oral presentation, and to specify the protocol and chips necessary to create a successful GigE Ethernet board.
