University of Connecticut School of Engineering EAGLES: Engineers As Global Leaders for Energy Sustainability

Visa Applications

UConn students accepted to the EAGLES programs are responsible for applying to their local consulate for the Visa. Depending on your state of residency will determine which consulate you will need to go through in order to apply.

Each consulate has different requirements, therefore, be sure to check the website carefully and create a checklist of all the documents you need.

To get your students visa you will need:

  1. A valid U.S. Passport- Make sure you have a valid passport that will stay valid for the entire time you need the visa for
  2. Two original copies of the acceptance letter from the degree awarding institution
  3. A letter from Uconn attesting that you have been selected by the EAGLES program
  4. Proof of health insurance
  5. Proof of financial support
  6. Travel Itinerary including a roundtrip flight

Please check with your local Italian or Spanish Consulate for any additional requirements.
