Conclusions
- Highly reactive systems, corresponding to small activation energies or large Damkohler numbers or high adiabatic reaction temperatures, are associated with large uncertainties
- For all the systems considered, small Peclet numbers are also associated with large process variabilities by virtue of the ensuing rapid conduction
- In order to minimize process variabilities, an increase in the overall reactivity of the resin needs to be compensated by moving towards larger conduction time scales
