Faculty Openings:
2 Tenure-Track Faculty Positions: 1 Assistant and 1 Associate or Full Professor in Chemical Engineering
The Chemical Engineering Program in conjunction with the Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the University of Connecticut invite applications for two tenure-track faculty positions, one at the assistant / associate and one at the associate / full professor level. The Chemical Engineering Program currently houses 10 faculty members in the Engineering II building and the Institute of Materials Science.
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or closely-related field, a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching and the ability to conduct research worthy of international recognition. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
These positions are in the broad area of environmental research, and can range from biological applications to air pollution and alternate energy to waste processing. Excellence in competitive research is the overriding requirement.
The successful candidate is expected to participate with and support the activities of UConn's Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering. Opportunities also exist for interacting with UConn's Biotechnology Center, Institute of Materials Science, Global Fuel Cell Center, and Booth Engineering Center for Advanced Technology.
