Biotechnology and biomedical engineering are among the fastest growing and most promising interdisciplinary fields today. Biotechnology involves the marriage of engineering principles paired with principles and techniques of modern molecular biology. Biomedical engineering (BME) involves the interface between engineering, biology and medicine to improve human health. The School of Engineering is blessed with a wealth of faculty excellence in these areas and administers Biomedical engineering degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
