Sustainable Energy Symposium Set for March 31-April 1
The Biofuel Consortium has organized a Sustainable Energy Symposium that will take place at the UConn campus March 31 and April 1, 2008. The program will include in-depth workshops on biofuels, fuel cells, investment, regulatory and public policy along with presentations on the full spectrum of environmental and energy topics, including solar energy, biodiesel production, bioenergy agriculture, strategies for developing a biofuels industry, and other topics. Speakers from industry, academia, various state agencies and funding sources will contribute toward the program.
Special guest speakers will include University of Connecticut President Michael Hogan, who will open the program, U.S. Congressional Representatives Joe Courtney and Rosa DeLauro, State Senate President Pro Tempore Donald E. Williams, Jr., State Speaker of the House James Amann, and State House Republican Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, Jr.
