Fuel Cells Research
Associated Center
The Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center (CGFCC) is a world leader in the research and development of fuel cell engineering and technology. The Center began in 2001 as a partnership between the School of Engineering, Connecticut Innovations, and Connecticut industry. The CGFCC collaborates with industry, domestic and international government agencies, and other academic and commercial research institutions to explore and refine fuel cell science and technology. The CGFCC examines all types and all aspects of fuel cells with the objective of propelling the design, development and practical application of the broadest array of functional, efficient, low/no emission fuel cells. More than 40 faculty members from engineering, chemistry and biology exploit the laboratory and equipment resources of the Center.
