Class email to T. J. Peters Unless specific exceptions to the contrary are made, all email for this class should be sent to tpeters@cse.uconn.edu Use only plain text and explicitly use carriage returns so that your message can be printed from a Unix machine. (This means ending lines after approximately 70 characters. You can easily set up your window size of Suns to automatically do this for you.) Also, do not use attachments, unless specific exceptions have been made. This is for two reasons: 1. I frequently read mail remotely, from a variety of machines. The plain text is universal and I can always read it. Attachments are NOT universally read on different machines. Specifically, DO NOT send MSWord documents, as I rarely read from a Windoze machine. 2. When the entire class submits homework by email, I concatenate all the responses into one file, print it from a Unix machine and grade it from the hard copy. If some part of your file does not print, then I can't grade it from the hardcopy. I am committed to fast return of your homework (usually the next class) to provide you the most timely educational feedback. To do so, I cannot afford the time to reformat individual submissions. Your adherence to this simple policy during your file creation will facilitate timely response to all.
