Outline for `Presentation 1' for CSE 269, F04 Schedules for Presentations will be arranged via email. The key new increments over your submitted `ideas' are 1. more details about the design, including risks and dependencies you have upon key pieces of software, hardware, personnel or other resources, 2. an initial design of one or two critical major interfaces, both to indicate your level of design depth and to make clear that your design gracefully includes compatible components, is modular and will be extensible, 3. a schedule, with contingency plans, 4. a division of responsibilities, 5. a description of final deliverables and functional capabilities, 6. any key capabilities you expect you can not include, and how that will effect your final project. You will likely have at least one overhead slide for each of the above items, although there may be creative ways to combine #3 & #4 into one readable, informative slide. My main criteria for evaluation will be a. Has your idea matured to a stable point and is it well conceived? b. Are you likely to succeed in your final objective? c. Have you allowed enough time? d. Have you thought carefully about needed resources? e. Do you have reasonable contingency plans? f. Have you allowed for communication within the team and design changes and negotiation? g. Have you understood and addressed the key technical issues?
