I have been married, since August 21, 1982, to Christina Marie Anderson-Hoke.

We do colonial reenacting – the photo above is from an encampment about 2004. You can see my younger son Chiron in the background above.

We have two sons, Orion and Chiron. Both names come from Greek Mythology, and also represent two of the most dramatic constellations (Orion and Centaurus).

We homeschool the boys, though Orion is off in college now.

Two organizations we work with are Merrimack Valley Homelearners (an eclectic association of homeschoolers north and west of Boston, including families in both MA and NH) and the Voyagers Homeschool Cooperative.

We live in Billerica MA, a north-of-Boston suburb with Colonial era origins (Chartered 1655).

I have two brothers and two sisters; they have various spouses, children, and pets. Here is a picture of me (center) with Chris, Laura, Karen, and John (clockwise from me).
